When One Za’abeel launched “The Link,” the world’s longest occupied building cantilever, the goal wasn’t just to showcase architecture—it was to redefine experience. The project featured elite chefs seated hundreds of meters in the air, perched dramatically on the edge of the cantilever, suspended above Dubai’s skyline. This ambitious concept required absolute safety, precision rigging, and expert high-rise coordination. That’s where Prime Productions came in.

Elevating the Experience / Literally

From the outset, our mission was clear: deliver a visually stunning, technically sound, and completely secure activation where the illusion of risk would never compromise actual safety. The imagery of chefs calmly sipping coffee in crisp white jackets, high above the city, demanded an invisible yet bulletproof rigging and fall arrest system.

The Link isn’t just a bridge — it’s the longest occupied building cantilever in the world, and the backdrop for one of the most ambitious dining experiences ever launched. Our goal: capture its grandeur, while showcasing the luxury and thrill of a dining event above the clouds.

But filming at these heights isn’t just a creative challenge — it’s a logistical, technical, and physical one. That’s where our stunt coordination expertise came in.

The Link New Culinary Heights

For this project, we collaborated with high-angle stunt riggers, safety teams, and structural engineers to make sure everything — and everyone — was protected.

Our team coordinated:

  • Rooftop rigging and edge safety for crew and talent

  • Cable-secured camera ops to capture dynamic angles at the edge of the Link

  • Coordination with airspace authorities due to the close proximity of helicopters and drones

  • Emergency contingency planning and rehearsals for all on-site maneuvers

This wasn't a green screen. This was real. And real requires trust, precision, and a deep understanding of risk mitigation in high-stakes environments.

Our Role at Prime Productions

  • Rigging System Design: We engineered discreet, high-strength rigging setups anchored directly to structural points within the cantilever. Every harness was low-profile, color-matched, and tension-balanced for comfort and aesthetics—barely visible on camera.

  • Load Testing & Anchor Certification: All rigging was tested to international IRATA standards. We conducted pre-installation testing with dummies and remote sensor feedback to simulate full load and wind stress under real conditions.

  • Talent Safety Briefings: While the chefs were professionals in the kitchen, they weren’t used to working at altitude. We ran full rehearsals on the ground and in harness before the live shoot, ensuring each participant was secure, calm, and aware of all safety procedures.

  • Camera & Crew Safety: Our job didn’t stop with talent—we also secured the cinematographers capturing the moment, including rooftop camera ops, long-lens operators at distance, and drone pilots flying under strict aviation protocols.

A Stunt Designed for Elegance

While this wasn’t a “stunt” in the traditional sense—no jumping, flying, or explosions—it was a complex psychological stunt. The challenge was to make it feel relaxed, beautiful, and effortless, while working within a heavily regulated, high-risk environment.

“It’s easy to make something look dangerous. It’s much harder to make something dangerous look effortless. That’s the magic of this project.”— Alan Gayton, Stunts & Safety Director, Prime Productions AMG

Setting a New Standard for Luxury Experiences

One Za’abeel’s “New Culinary Heights” wasn’t just a marketing activation. It was a statement—that Dubai continues to lead the world in redefining experience, ambition, and elevation, literally and figuratively.

At Prime, we’re proud to help bring these moments to life. Safely. Seamlessly. And always at the highest level.

🎬 The Link: New Culinary Heights

Behind the Scenes of a Sky-High Production

In the world of advertising, “memorable” is the currency. For “The Link – New Culinary Heights,” the brief was clear: create a film that would elevate expectations—literally. Suspended 220 meters above the desert, between the towers of One Za’abeel, a new kind of dining experience was about to be unveiled. And Prime Productions AMG was tasked with capturing it — authentically, safely, and cinematically.

The edit blended high-end lifestyle visuals with breathtaking wide shots, building tension and awe in equal measure. The result? A launch film that reflects the ambition of the space itself.

🎯 Why It Mattered

This project wasn’t just about beautiful imagery — it was about trust. We were chosen not just for our reel, but for our ability to operate safely in extreme conditions, to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and to deliver world-class content under pressure.

That’s what we do best.
